The heart of the Inn, where you are met with a friendly welcome and served with best in ales, beers, wines and spirits.
You can sample our real ale which is very popular, the house ale is Caledonian Deuchars IPA and we feature up two other guest ales throughout the year including Caledonian 80/-, Fuller’s London Pride, Everard’s Tiger and Black Sheep. Our draught ales are John Smiths Smooth, Guiness, Kronenborg Lager, San Miguel Lager, Tenants Lager and Bulmers Strong Bow Cider.
An atmospheric venue we host live music most Fridays (see live music for details).
The music is varied with folk, melodic and pub rock, reggae and acoustic duos. We are selective with our performers and all are experts in their genre. Some lively nights have been enjoyed at the Cedar and most performers and customers are keen to return to relive the experience.
If something less raunchy is your taste then every 1st Tuesday of the month we have an “open mic” night. A chance for budding performers of all abilities to entertain a cosy relaxed and friendly crowd with acoustic instruments, song, poetry and even comedy!
(This is held within restaurant by candle light). As the name suggests, the mic is open to all. Also within the bar on Thursdays we have Grianan, a group of traditional Scottish/Irish musicians who gather and play fiddle, flute mandolin and Irish pipes.
Every second Friday we host a Karaoke night with Eilidh (Aylee) our resident Karaoke Queen. A very relaxed sing along with no pressure on non singers and some amazing performances ( some in tune!) Using the latest equipment you are sure to sound pro.We have thousands of tracks to choose from.
